The IRA Lightning Sprints have released their preliminary 2026 Schedule. Still looking at filling one more date, but currently we see 16 races across 4 tracks. Wilmot Raceway will continue to be our base with 9 dates. Sycamore Speedway sees 4 dates and including their season opener with all 3 IRA classes as well as the 4th annual John Smith Memorial. The Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints completed a successful Wisconsin doubleheader this past Memorial Day weekend May 28-29, going from northwest to northeast as they kicked off their weekend at the banked wide third-mile Rice Lake Speedway. The IRA is extremely proud and humbled to be announced as a RPM Regional Promoter of the Year nominee, something very rare for a series as nominations traditionally go to individual race track operators. This is our 3rd consecutive nomination, the most of any series. Many tracks have published their tentative schedules that include IRA Wisconsin wingLESS and IRA Lightning Sprint dates. We have a few i’s to dot and t’s to cross but we’re close to having both schedules ready for release. NexGen Pumps and IRA Motorsports have come to an agreement that will have the Silver Lake based company taking over Hoosier Race Tire sales for Wilmot Raceway focusing primarily on WI wingLESS Sprints, Lightning Sprints, Modifieds, and Steet Stock tires.
